ABOUT HEALTH & WELL-BEING COACHING

Your health and wellness coach is your accountability partner in taking charge of your health and well-being to create lasting sustainable lifestyle changes based on your personal values. Health and well-being coaching works with individuals to identify what matters most to them and help them to commit to goals and action steps that align with their personal values. A Health & Wellness Coach acts as a partner in the behavior change process, empowering and equipping clients to enhance their well-being by addressing various aspects of health & wellness like physical activity, nutrition, spirituality, stress management, sleep, and more. 

WHY DO WE BELIEVE COACHING IS A NECESSITY?

Change is hard. People who make specific, ongoing appointments to check in with an accountability partner have a 95% chance of achieving their goals- in contrast, only 10% chance of success by having the idea and 65% chance of sucess by publicly committing to a goal to someone.

Instead of blaming patients for not making the changes necessary to be healthier, we believe we need to do a better job in the medical community of supporting our patients during the time in between their visits.

6 Month Train For Life Program

  • Build foundations of sleep, nutrition, fitness, and stress management.
  • Monthly modules and weekly emails to keep you accountable. 
  • Access to Dr. Janna Vilen's Yoga and breathwork video library.
  • Best for those that have been successful with other self-guided programs.

Love Yourself Enough to Change

  • Program starts with one hour visits with Dr. Erik Vilen and health coach. 
  • Lab testing, hormone evaluation, DEXA scan, RMR, and VO2 Max testing at the begining and end of program. 
  • Individual program goals built around your mission, aspiration, and purpose. 
  • Medication adjustments or hormone replacement may be indicated to improve your health.
  • Twice monthly health coaching visits keep you on track.  
  • Physican visits at three months and six months.
  • Upon completion particpants will have the option to continue on a monthly basis.

  • Designed for the backcountry hunter and angler, cyclist, trail runner, or alpinist, this program is all about optimizing health and performance.
  • Comprehensive medical and health coaching assessments
  • Baseline assessment begins with lab and hormone evaluations, RMR, VO2 Max, and DEXA.
  • Personalized plans to optimize sleep, HRV, blood glucose, body composition and V02 max are the main focus of this program.
  • This program is best suited for individuals who have a good functional capacity at baseline.
